Efficient urban transportation is key to the socio-economic development of any society. It has a critical impact on residents’ quality of life and, indeed, the everyday functioning of our cities. Whereas most countries in the developed world have realized the concerns with current mobility practices evident in traffic congestion, cost of transportation, insecurity, vehicle emissions and public health, noise pollution, road crashes, and other concerns, and are transforming mobility, changing mindsets, and developing a new culture of sustainable mobility, Africa, and the rest of the developing world lag behind. This training is organised by Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and The Regional Transport Research and Education Centre, Kumasi (TRECK)
